Embedded monitoring tool and fiber access node and management solution that provides troubleshooting of fiber networks. Integrated in PON access node and Motive Network Analyzer-Fiber, Optical Time Domain Reflectometry (OTDR) improves external fiber monitoring solutions. OTDR collects and analyzes network parameter data to provide a view of network state. During network roll-out it provides remote validation of the network’s installation progress, assuring connectivity without delay. When the network is in service, Alcatel-Lucent’s solution continuously monitors all lines, pinpointing network problems and making field interventions more efficient.
