Purpose
SWDM Alliance is a collection of companies that believe that the adoption of shortwave wavelength division multiplexing (SWDM) is a cost-effective means of transmitting multiple channels on one duplex multimode fiber pair. The goal of the organization is to create and promote an industry ecosystem that fosters the adoption of SWDM for cost-effective data center interconnections over duplex multimode fiber at data rates at or above 40 Gbps.
