Purpose
Open Data Platform initiative (ODPi), a collaborative project of Linux Foundation, works toward the simplification and standardization of the Big Data ecosystem with a common reference specification called ODPi Core, which provides a specification for a common runtime, reference implementations and test suites. It provides a stable base against which Big Data solution providers can qualify solutions and produces a set of tools and methods that enable members to create and test differentiated offerings based on the ODPi Core. It supports community development and outreach activities that accelerate the rollout of modern data architectures that leverage Hadoop.
