The Microwave Routers combine microwave radio and IP/MPLS router functionality into a single unit designed to be small in size, smart with extensive L2 and L3 routing functions and simple to operate in any microwave network. CTR 8000 microwave routers are compact multi-service, multi-layered microwave hubs designed to deliver scalable microwave routing functions that operators can configure to increase capacity, security and performance. Because each network has unique and varied requirements, operators can select among Aviat’s microwave routers that combine the industry’s most powerful microwave platform with L2 Carrier Ethernet Switching and L3 IP/MPLS transport routing. Each CTR delivers an array of capabilities in a single unit, uniquely combining high capacity hybrid or all-packet transport and Carrier Ethernet/IP networking.
