Description
Performance monitoring solution for optical fiber links. Allows system operators to isolate faults within the fiber plant to improve response time. The CFM also allows monitoring of optical fiber health over time to address slow degradation in fiber performance before it results in unplanned service outages. It operates independently from client optical power and monitors fiber-plant health without relying on electronics located at the far end of the link. It enables protocol- and format-independent link loss monitoring and real-time in-service fiber pair monitoring.
